Peas

I am so happy to have a garden again after not having one for two years, having moved in the middle of the summer two years in a row. One thing that i have learned is that peas are a great thing to plant early, because they do best in the cooler weather. Remember when I got so excited about the nice weather back on April 7th and decided to plant my seedlings outside, well peas are the only ones that survived. I had to start the cucumbers all over again, well I guess the zucchini survived too, but don't they survived everything? These pictures are from June 1st. After a few weeks they shriveled up and died, but then my other plants started really coming in.
Adriana and Annika picking peas. I love the pretty blossoms and how they climb up the trellis.

My daughter was looking at your blog with me and now she wants some peas too (they're her favorites).
Can't wait to have a garden someday.... someday.

I think gardens are magical places. Especially for kids.
