He'll be coming 'round the mountain

This picture was actually taken on Ariel's birthday in April, but I am posting it because Peter called today to say that he is coming to visit for a couple days and we are so excited. I really wish that he would start a website displaying some of his cool artwork so that I could put a link to it from here.
I have been trying to remember all of the funny things that the kids have been saying lately, but it is hard
because they are constantly saying funny things. Like Adriana today said, I know whose name starts with an "M", Emily's. A few days ago Annika brought me a hairbrush and two ponytail holders and grunted in a way to make me understand that she wanted ponytails done. After I did them she still had the brush and was walking around in a circle brushing her hair and saying to herself, "Brush, brush, brush." but not really pronouncing the "R."
It was precious. When she gets really excited about something she puts her arms
in front of her and bends her head down and runs fast (like Superman).
I am stuck in a non-cooking rut. Does anyone out there have any good
recipes? I am soliciting comments on my blog, because I love to read comments.
I just
finished a good book recommended to me by Rebekah, "To Hell with All That: loving and loathing our inner housewife" by Caitlin Flanagan. For all of you stay at home moms, its great, but you could skip the first two chapters they were a little too racy for my taste.

I'd give you a recipe...if I cooked! :) Sorry! Thanks for posting the anecdotes about the kids! They're so precious! Tell the girls I'm bringing them a fun craft to do on Saturday! (Annika too!)

You are a hard one to give recipes to. Most of our dinners include some type of cheese or creamy sauce. But last night I made a pasta recipe from the Test Kitchen book. It was sausage, broccoli, and roasted red peppers. It's super easy and you can substitute the ingredients. I used kielbasa, spinich and fresh red peppers. Anyways. Good luck. Hot weather always makes it hard to cook.

No kidding, about cooking in hot weather. I am really going to have to buy some of that Polish kielbasa, sounds like you use it in a lot of recipes. Thanks
