I have so much to catch up on. I have a ton of pictures to post from our trip, but I am going to do these other ones first so I don't forget. Here is Alice reading Hand Hand Fingers Thumb a few weeks ago. She is so advanced, now she can sit up without the Bumbo (which is a good thing considering the size of her thighs.)
Tonight we were enjoying our dessert (apple crisp with Erin's apple pie filling (thanks Erin) and whipped cream) al fresco. Being the cheesy girl that I am, I started singing,"Summer days drifting away....but oh, oh, those summer nights, ...a wella wella.." Then it dawned on me that Ariel would really enjoy "Grease" So, I started to tell her about it. I told her it was kind of like "High School Musical" and then I had an epiphany. They have the same plot line. Boy and girl meet and fall in love far away from home, then the boy returns to his High School and the girl unwittingly moves to the same town.....

My kids have been spending hours this summer making Lego and Duplo creations. I am constantly amazed by their shear
creativity. They come up with things I never would have imagined. It warms my heart. They are developing their own little Lego culture, working together and individually. Sometimes I think you have to actually
teach kids how to play with toys, just till their imagination is sparked and then they just take off.
The following are a few shots of our tadpole catching expedition a few weeks ago.

I love it that baby Svetlana (maybe we can call her "Sveta"?) is reading already! Your kids are SO creative and well behaved - you're lucky.
I must admit that I am a bit jealous! You have fun, and do such interesting things with your kids. They really are so creative and darling, of course!
